Welcome to the Employee Connect department!
You'll collaborate closely with a Global Onboarding lead, whose role perfectly complements your focus on local onboarding targeting the White Collar Sweden population.
Additionally, you 'll work closely with the People Direct team, containing seven team members, providing essential HR support to all 22,000 Volvo Cars employees.

We are currently seeking an Onboarding Coordinator for our largest location in Sweden, Gothenburg.

What You'll Do
In this role you will be the public face of Volvo Cars, with tasks that are important both for employee experience and for our organization. As our Onboarding Coordinator, you will be responsible for warmly welcoming all new employees in the most professional, enthusiastic, and people-centric way. You will address all questions and manage expectations positively through your knowledge of our company and the onboarding process.
In the role of Onboarding Coordinator, you serve as a guide for new employees during their first week. You will present the company on stage, ensure their well-being, and guide them through all activities during their initial week. You will be the go-to person for all matters related to the first week's activities.
You will have the ownership of conducting orientation sessions on-site in Gothenburg every Monday, presenting the company and inviting engaging speakers to create an exciting and compelling experience. Ensure breakfast is ordered and goodie bags are prepared. You will handle all logistics and on-site activities for the physical activation during the new employee's first week. Activities include a Blue train journey, a visit to the World Of Volvo in the city center, a test drive lane experience, a visit to the Safety Center, culture and value training, and a kickoff event in Volvohallen with all participants. You coordinate transportation for the group between sites and communicate with all stakeholders regarding the respective activities.
What you'll bring
We are looking for you with some years' experience and with a strong service-oriented approach. You thrive in the spotlight, adept at leading groups with warmth and positivity. A natural people person, you exemplify Volvo Cars' cultural ethos in all your endeavors.
Your enthusiasm for nurturing others, coupled with a resilient and optimistic demeanor, is paramount. Proficiency in English and at least one Scandinavian language is essential, alongside excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Possession of a valid driver's license is also mandatory.
Ideally, you also possess prior expertise in guiding, hospitality management, public speaking, and logistical coordination for sizable gatherings. Additionally, if you have international experience that will be highly regarded.
