The OD/VPS coach to Materials Management (MM) & Global functions has the responsibility to promote a culture of operational excellence within relevant functions and processes in Logistics Services. He or she will drive and support implementation of Operational Development / Volvo Production System in close collaboration with the Director OD/VPS Materials Management and the Logistics Services? teams in Purchasing, Business Control, HR and potentially Process & IT.
Further he/she needs to collaborate with the extended Logistics Services OD/VPS & Quality network, OD/VPS group function, GTO OD/VPS operational colleagues and other relevant teams within the Volvo Group.
The position is part of the OD/VPS & Quality Management team and the position reports to Vice President OD/VPS & Quality - Logistics Services.
Main activities and responsibilities
• Provide hands-on OD/VPS coaching and support to Logistics Purchasing and global functions: Business Control, HR and potentially Process & IT
• Provide hands-on OD/VPS coaching and support to Materials Management as per their needs defined in collaboration with Director OD/VPS Materials Management
• Enable and support units and teams in iterative gap analysis and action planning
• Potentially facilitate global trainings in OD/VPS thinking and tools
Critical competencies for the position
The OD/VPS coach to Materials Management & Global functions a good overall understanding of the Volvo Group and our business challenges. He or she is further a change agent with a firm belief that colleagues will grow and contribute further to the Volvo Group with the help of OD/VPS and lean thinking.
In his or her work the selected person is able to demonstrate a clear vision, holistic mindset and is successful in people leadership and development including the ability to facilitate dialogue and drive change. The individual has strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to network effectively across a diverse organization and geographical areas. The successful candidate is a good communicator and is comfortable with many models and aspects in the ?lean? area.

The OD/VPS coach to Materials Management & Global functions holds a relevant university degree and has excellent proficiency in the English language. Other languages are beneficial.
Location
The location of the position is open but is preferably a site where the relevant functions have a main point of staff. Some travel is required.
