Exide Technologies is expanding and is now looking for an Applications Engineer that will be our internal Technical Responsible and Technical Support for our Nordic customer.
Tasks:
• Cooperate with the customer at all stages of Lithium projects to ensure that all technical details are captured
• Work together with the Advanced Batteries Team (ABT) technical office so that all applications are correctly specified and that all Bills of Material (BOM) are correct
• Ensure that customers' technical enquiries and issues are dealt with in a timely fashion
• Assist the Nordic countries Regional Business Development Manager (BDM) and sales teams closely in understanding the customer's application and how to optimize Exide's Lithium storage solution to the mutual benefit
• Work closely with the ABT to refine the current product portfolio to better meet existing customer requirements and expectations
• Manage quick response Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) activity in the region
• Assist in gathering and analysing technical data, via customer feedback, conferences, publications etc. to allow Exide be competitive
• Carry out training of technical support staff and service technicians as required
Required Skills
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or equivalent work experience
Technical interest and experience of mechatronics, electrical or electronic work
• Good knowledge in English and Swedish, spoken and written
• Used to communicate with customers
Preferred Skills
• General knowledge of Battery and of Lithium Ion chemistries
• Lithium Battery Management Systems knowledge
• Experience with low to high voltage battery systems 12 to 600 V DC
• Knowledge of CANbus and CANbus integration
• Knowledge of Electric Motors and drives
• Experience in the industrial and automotive electric vehicle sectors
• Experience in the Network / UPS market, including Telecoms.
• Experience of an electrical test environment

You are structured and able to plan your daily work. Like to communicate in speech and writing and enjoy working with others. You are also used to drive the work forward and to work independently.
