NORDIC PRODUCT MANAGER - NICHE, CLINICAL DIAGNOSTICS DIVISION SWEDEN - ideally Stockholm area

Our Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the Nordic team. Globally CDD consists of nearly 2,000 employees, who provide our customers with innovative clinical diagnostics systems and consumables, enabling them to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

In Sweden we are around 900 Thermo Fisher employees, of which 12 work with our clinical diagnostics products. As a Product Manager you will report into CDD's Nordic Commercial Manager and be based from your home office or from our office in Uppsala.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE
This position combines an overarching Nordic product management responsibility with direct sales and Key Account responsibility. Product area of responsibility will be Niche diagnostics, for example; Toxicology (Drugs of Abuse testing), Therapeutic Drug monitoring and independent quality controls. The main geographic area of responsibility is the Nordic region, however, you will also cover certain parts of the UK and Holland/Belgium.

As the Nordic Product Manager you will be the key link between our local Sales' teams and the Global Product Management and Commercial Marketing functions.

Main responsibilities will be divided into the following core areas:
Sales
• Create and implement a robust territory plan for each of the key business segments
• Support your sale's team colleagues to seize new opportunities and increase work with existing accounts
• Be personally accountable for the delivery of the Niche contribution to the Annual Operating Plan
• Participate in Sales and Operational Planning
Support
• Product training with new team members
• Support the Nordic team members with customer- or product issues/needs
• Participate in end-customer meetings together with Sales Reps in the Nordics and potentially other regions
• Manage Swedish exhibitions and participate in scientific meetings for CDD customers
• Collaborate with IVD partners in tenders and contacts and also with other European Product Managers and the Customer Service department

Product management and marketing
• Compile product documentation/information/solutions into easily accessible resources
• Daily and continuous overview over stock situation in the warehouse located in Germany
• Production and sales forecasting
• Pass on product issues to applicable colleagues and customers
• Complete reports on all sales activities, achievements, key issues and projections
• Own the process for understanding the competitive landscape across the territory

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The ideal candidate will have a scientific degree (e.g. bioscience or chemistry) and strong commercial experience within the Invitro Diagnostics market place. You should also be able to demonstrate command of essential sales techniques and have experience of local Product Management. We hope that you have practical experience of working in a clinical lab and that you can work successfully in an international, matrix organization. You must speak English and Swedish fluently, have a full, clean driver's license and be able to travel often and regularly (around 40%)

To succeed in this role you should be a confident communicator, show good listening skills and demonstrate good organizational skills. As a person you should be driven, results-orientated have strong mathematical and persuasive presentation skills.
