We are now growing in the area of Network Implementation and therefore looking for experienced field leaders for a new rollout project in Finland.
Job Description
You will be responsible for the management and coordination of the implementation engineers working in the field. It includes installing and commissioning of telecom network infrastructure, mainly RBS and MW of Huawei, but also Ericsson and Nokia.
You provide technical direction and ensure the implementation work is right, on time and meets customer expectations within the agreed project scope. Act as a Level 2 escalation point for the implementation engineers and resolve any issues experienced in the field.
Perform site audits at regular intervals to ensure quality standards are fulfilled on the work performed by the implementation teams, report and follow-up deviations. In addition you will actively seek ways to reduce implementation lead times through efficiency, automation and more effective ways of working.
Responsibilities
• Review and carry out allocation of work to the Implementation Engineers
• Work closely with the Implementation Engineers to ensure high quality standards
• Drive timely project delivery working with other department, 3rd party suppliers and customers to identify and manage any key issues or risks.
• Communicate team updates to management and stakeholders and escalate issues as appropriate
• Act as level 2 team escalation point ensuring issues are managed and escalated appropriately
• Assist the Network Implementation Project Manager with producing technical documentation and management reports
• Act as Deputy for the Network Implementation Project Manager, attending customer project meetings and internal project operations meetings
• Help identify engineer training requirements and ensure training is carried out
• Provide training to develop team members through product knowledge, passion and commitment
• Ensure the safety regulations are implemented and followed by the field engineers.
Qualifications
• Practical experience from installing and commissioning the following network infrastructure:
o Huawei RBS and MW(GSM, 3G, LTE)
o Ericsson RBS and MW
o Nokia RBS
• Practical experience from rigging mobile communication equipment, aligning antennas and measuring the feeders with the Site Master
• Preferably practical experience from Civil Works on mobile sites
• Experienced in Site Survey and preparation of documentation for swap projects
• Experience of writing technical solution documentation addressing customer requirements
• Good awareness and knowhow of the safety regulations and instructions when working on site
• Valid certification of Working at Heights and completed course for climbing and site safety
• Clean drivers license
• At least 5 years relevant work experience
• Good written and spoken English and Finish language

• Ability to deliver against goals as part of a team or as an individual
• Ability to look at new technologies, work methods and tools that can improve the efficiency, quality and safety of the implementation work and understand the impact it will have on the implementation teams
• Be able to work in field for longer periods
Start: 1 Aug 2015
Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
Employment form: Time limited employment
Full time working hours, 40 h/week and flexibility of overtime when needed
