We are now seeking one operation technician for Firewall in our Service Production team.
Volvo IT operates firewall in 10 different locations around the world, for the Volvo Group and a number of other external customers. We are in a transitions period to change from Checkpoint to Juniper.
We will use Juniper SRX, ISG, NSM and STRM.
Volvo IT has firewall on a number of sites around the world. All devices are operated by a global team of technician which you will be a part of.
The language we use is English and Swedish.
You will be a part of the global Network Service Production team which operates WAN, LAN and Network security (FW, IPS and Remote Access), handles the daily operation and resolves up to 97 % of all incidents. The purpose of Infrastructure Production is to ensure a secure, stable and efficient operation environment, built on products and instructions from Infrastructure Management.
Key responsibilities:
Service Production
This role requires an experienced network person with proven communication skills. We assume you have specialized in Juniper security products, experience from other brands is also positive. As a firewall operation specialist, your talent for understanding Network and Security infrastructure and our customers need will be invaluable, and you will also have practical skills in working "hands-on"
Together with your colleagues over the globe you will work in a virtual Network Operation team for Network Security. You will have a functional SP Operation Manager.
You will work in a team with other SP technicians at different sites but also very close to the Infrastructure Management personal, technicians as well as the Product Managers and Global Product Area manager for Network Security.
You must enjoy operation, troubleshooting and be a generic Network person. We would like you to be a senior Firewall person, fluent in English and Swedish.
There will be some traveling
Education and / or Experience Recommended:
• Bachelor degree in IT
• Broad IT knowledge (Juniper, Unix, Security, scripting, DNS, IT security)
• Language skills - fluent in English, verbal and written
• Good knowledge in Network operations
• Experience in working in a global organization
Requirements:
• Practical experience in the area above
• Knowledge and experience of Juniper systems in a global environment
• Good knowledge in other security products (like Bluecoat, Tipping point)
• A team player with excellent communication skills - fluent English, both spoken and written
