The I&T department within DOS at NCC is an important part in our on-going digital transformation, and we are now expanding our Nordic team looking for an experienced IT Competence Manager to be responsible for the "Development competence area". In this position you will be a part the management team for the I&T Competence Centers together with three other IT Competence Managers.

This a permanent position, located in any of our offices in Solna, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Oslo, Malmö or Gothenburg.

You would join the Group function Development & Operations Services (DOS), which leads NCC's strategy development and major change programs in the business. With 130+ employees, DOS also drives research and innovation and is NCC's development and delivery function for IT and operations development.



In Your role as IT Competence Manager at NCC, you will...

• Take ownership and responsibility of resource and competence management and be the direct manager of the personnel within the unit "Development Competence Center".
• Plan and assign resources (NCC personnel and consultants) to teams based on needs from team leads and other stakeholders .
• Follow-up resource utilization and manage time reporting and expenses .
• Secure competence levels of NCC personnel and consultants are up to date and meet the requirements set by principles, policies, roles and assignments .
• Provide coaching, training and support to NCC personnel and consultants as needed .
• Monitor and follow-up resource performance .
• Conduct salary reviews for NCC personnel .
• Ensure annual budget is established and followed .
• Act as key escalation point and solve resource and competencies issues .
• Own the specific consultant agreements and manage the needed supplier relationships .
• Manage the relationships with the teams leads and different stakeholders within DOS in a formalized, professional and transparent way .
• Support IT in achieving the function goals, targets and objectives .
• Be an active part of long-term resource planning based on the input from team leads, other stakeholders and IT strategy and plans .
• Actively work with improving the resource and competence management areas, as a part of IT CC Management team .
• Continually improve culture and methods that are in use in IT .
• Be an active part in change management activities and initiatives.



Your experience and qualifications

• We believe you have a relevant academic degree and 4-7 years of work experience.
• You have well documented leadership and coaching experience for both individuals and teams.
• Good presentation- and communications skills in English as well as one of the Nordic languages is required.
• Scrum and/or ITIL certification is merited.
