Impacts of Nanomaterials and Microplastic to Human Health and Environment: Regulatory Policy Development
The nanomaterials or nano-substances represent emerging technological developments that have significant importance in various science disciplines (e.g., chemicals, agrochemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, environment etc.). So far, several nano-substances are being synthesized with certain promising properties and applications. Due to their distinctive physical, chemical, and biological properties, these nano-substances play important roles in the fabrication as well as the modification of materials. Looking at the regulatory side of nano-substances, with specific regards to health and environmental risk, they have to cross the regulatory requirements and approval to market it in different countries in the world.
Key responsibilities include:
Research on EU policy development and regulatory review on nanomaterials in REACH and CLP
Compile requirements and challenges of chemical compliance of nanomaterials, such as ECHA's Guidance Registration and Chemical Safety Assessment for nanomaterials
The impact on chemical safety on nano versus non-nano form
Summarize webinars on nanomaterials-related chemical regulatory updates
Stay updated on changes to registering nanoform and suggest appropriate actions to Chemical producers to ensure that the business is well prepared for any legal amendments and enactments

Education/Experience Requirements
We believe that you have:
A relevant university degree (B. Sc./ M.Sc.) or currently enrolled in Master Program in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, Sustainability, etc.
Worked in a multi-cultural environment before
Fluency in written and spoken English
Experience working with MS Office

Bonus Points for:
Fluency in other languages like Japanese, Chinese, Swedish, or French
Driven with a can-do attitude, able to adapt your knowledge to the business needs
Creative thinking, good scientific reading and writing skills
Knowledge within sustainability
Self-motivated, hardworking, detail-oriented and have the ability to keep it simple
A great communicator
