As a software developer at AVTECH you will work with software for systems supplying weather data to aircraft.
Daily tasks involve modification or creation of software functionalities for handling live aircraft data and generating weather data suitable for certain flight stages. You will typically work with distributed systems that store data in NoSQL databases. Most coding is done in Python but certain system components are written in C++ and C#.
Utbildning och erfarenhetThe ideal candidate for this role is smart, driven and has a strong background and genuine interest in software design as well as a familiarity with the end-to-end process of developing and delivering software. He/she has a keen interest in delivering quality both when it comes to coding and the development process.
A degree in a relevant field (MSc or equivalent) is required plus experience in design and development of software systems in both Linux and Windows environments.
Candidates should enjoy working in a team and be able to solve tasks under their own direction and initiative.
Good communication skills in english are required and skills in swedish will be highly valued.
Basic Requirements:
MSc degree or equivalent
Experience with Python, C/C++, Java/C# coding languages
Ability to work in a team and to solve tasks under your own direction and initiative
English speaking and writing skills
Interest in the aviation industry
Valuable Skills and Experience:
Linux environment (Ubuntu/RedHat) set up and configuration, scripting in bash etc.
Distributed computing, Queue systems (PGQ, MQ) and Web Services
Worked with MongoDB database or PostgreSQL
Used to a Git version control system workflow
Swedish speaking and writing skills.
