Our Exciting Opportunity
We are confronted by an outstanding opportunity. For the first time, there is one technology (3GPP 4G/5G) that has the potential to replace many existing narrowband technologies in the Mission Critical Communications market. Consequently, governments (public safety, peacekeeping & defense), government-regulated industries (utilities, rail) and private owned industries (Transport, Oil&Gas, Mining, Manufacturing...) are keen to exploit this new technology from Ericsson.

Within BDGS/SA CoS we have built an offering area called Mission Critical Applications with the mission to introduce new and existing Land mobile Radio functionality like MC PTT and are now looking for our new Portfolio Director.


You will
Evolve e2e portfolio with Partners
Identify and productify INTERFACES towards partners including, training documentation, and development environment.
Define e2e solution blueprint and components to enable LMR to MCPTT transition including internal / external,
Drive partner relationships and be responsible for events and agreements with Terms and Condition
Create a sales plan of selected markets by identify a plan for each selected opportunity including Customer Unit engagement and be responsible for activities needed
Create internal training, webinars etc.
Enable competence hubs in key projects who can support in Key deals
Responsible for unit budget, optimizations and balancing of sub-units' budgets based on priorities
Establish good marketing material focused on end-user -ongoing collaterals, videos, demo center, etc.
Create user forums for existing MC PTT customers to share experience and knowledge
Drive our participation in selected key events (e.g.: CCW, TCCA, PSCE, ...)
Enable controlled pilots, to ensure the right Quality of Experience



To be successful in the role you have
Extensive understanding of Mission Critical Communication market including end-user operational needs and government procurement processes
Product Life Cycle Management knowledge
Business understanding
Customer insight
Coaching and mentoring skills
The ability of delivering results and meeting customer expectations
Great skills in formulating strategies and concepts
Excellent ability working with people, creating relationships and networking
Ability to easily persuade and influence
