Are you looking for a new challenge where you get to work with world-leading products in an international environment that also prioritize personal development? Metso is now looking for a new associate to join the Application and Service team in Sala, Sweden.
As a Technical Advisor for Pump Service you will be an important part of the Global Pump Support team at Metso Sala. The support team is a highly skilled and diverse group of 11 people. The main task for the team is to provide technical support to the local sales and service offices as well as to the direct customers. As a Technical Advisor for Pump Service, you will provide support from the office in Sala as well as onsite hands-on service in different countries. The local Metso office will be there to assist and help as needed. You will also be required to spend time in the workshop on a regular basis to build and develop your skills and product knowledge. In this role, you will build and maintain good relationships with direct and indirect customers during meetings, trainings and other interactions representing Metso. In addition to this you will also be an important part of the development of the Metso warranty and service offering.
Requirements
Engineering or high school degree or equivalent experience. Millwright certification, machinist background etc.
Valid driving license
Valid passport
Licenses for overhead crane and fork lifter are beneficial
Able and willing to travel on a frequent basis with occasionally extended duration (usually 1-2 weeks but can also be longer)
Ability to stay in remote locations for extended periods of time and have the stamina to work long hours during emergency breakdowns and peak periods.
Great knowledge of centrifugal slurry pumps is an advantage.
As a person you are service orientated, driven and committed with attention to detail.
To be successful in this role you have a great interest in technology and you see problem solving as challenging and fun.
You are a team player with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken is a must, additional languages are an advantage.
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and a general adaptability to new tools is a requirement.
Prior experience in a customer service role or support function is a plus.
