Job description
We are now looking for a Proposal engineer for Complex Projects to our team in Sala. Your main responsibility is to be involved in the bidding process for concentrator plants and work directly with the sales team and sales management to create plant proposals for customer beneficiation plant projects.

You will be involved in several project leads simultaneously, including making sure all needed information is available, gathering price information, preparing estimates, proposal documents etc. Follow a project from initial sales stage until handover of the project from sales to project management. You manage the proposals work for a specific project by coordinating the work and information from other Metso units, external suppliers as well as different engineering disciplines within Metso such as process engineering and mechanical plant design. Interaction directly with customer as needed to facilitate enquire documents/contracts or technical needs. You work effectively towards well defined mile-stones for completion of a proposal in close cooperation with the appointed sales lead.

Requires domestic and international travel. Must have valid driver's license.

Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, or equivalent training/experience.
- At least 2 years practical experience from proposals preparation and estimating of complex industrial projects.

• Good knowledge in the English technical language, fluent in reading/writing and speech.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills are required, as this person will have frequent interaction with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office Products and Lotus Notes.
- Must be able to effectively discuss, explain and coordinate process designs with other disciplines cross-functionally.
- Must be able to function effectively both as a member of a team and as an individual contributor
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
