Credit Analysis, a business area within Merchant Banking at SEB, is now looking for a country analyst to join our Stockholm office.
Your assignment
As a country analyst you will perform analyses of the major emerging market countries plus some financially challenged developed countries with assessments of economic, financial and political developments and prospects. The analyses are based on publicly available data and proprietary information, including information obtained during country visits. You will present your analysis in different forums within the bank where it will be an important basis for decisions on our international transactions. For examples of reports written, please go to

Your profile
You have a strong background in economics from a reputed university with a master's degree in economics and finance as the minimum. You also have experience of macro economic analysis from an international financial institution, a research department of a ministry of finance or from a central bank. Work experience from emerging markets is not a prerequisite, but you will have to travel to third world countries. The candidate will have to express complex analysis in a logical and concise manner, both in written text and orally. SEB uses English as the primary language of communication, including in all internal documents.
