hela Sverige We're in search of a Mechanical Engineer to become a valued member of our team in Avesta, Sweden - one of Outokumpu's largest stainless steel production sites.
Become a vital part of our team at Outokumpu's premier stainless steel production site in Avesta, Sweden. Avesta is renowned for its expertise in advanced material steel making and specializes in producing high-quality stainless steel grades with a commitment to sustainability.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and quality of our production equipment while contributing to our mission of being the customer's first choice in sustainable stainless steel.
Main responsibilities include:
Operational Performance & Optimization: Ensure equipment meets quality standards and optimize procedures for reliability and efficiency.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose enhancements for machinery and processes, improving performance and safety.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and performance related to Ways of Working.
Documentation, Analysis & Design: Maintain accurate documentation, conduct root cause analyses, and utilize CAD systems for design and analysis.
Project Management: Lead & participate in projects to modernize machinery, improve maintenance, and provide training for Operators.

Who are you?
Master's degree in engineering (e.g., metallurgy, material, manufacturing, industrial economics) or equivalent competence.
Previous experience in a similar role and/or process industry is an asset.
Openminded to International projects/assignments.
Proactive mindset with the ability to develop processes and projects.
Eager to learn, develop cross-functional skills, and embrace new challenges.
Possess a hands-on attitude and enjoy taking initiative.
Outstanding communicator with high integrity and collaborate approach.
CAD, Six Sigma and/or LEAN certifications are highly esteemed.
Working proficiency in English is required. Swedish language is considered an advantage.
