About the role:
As our Medical Director you will act as the medical coordinator within Unilabs Sweden. The Medical Director will participate in the design of the medical strategy in Sweden, lead its implementation and provide guidance and coaching to medical expert colleagues.
The Medical Director will increase the awareness and appreciation for Unilabs in existing and new market segments. You will report to the General Manager of Sweden and will be a part of the Swedish Management Team where you support the SLT in defining the strategy and operational decisions for Unilabs Sweden from a medical perspective following the Group medical strategy.
You will be accountable for leading the Swedish medical teams and for providing a comprehensive and proactive medical service to all Unilabs Sweden business functions. The Medical Managers as head of Expert Teams reports indirectly to this role and directly into Operations Management.
An important part of your role will be to bring medical excellence, medical advice and scientific knowledge to all Swedish projects, business opportunities and customer related issues. Playing a key role in negotiations, presenting Unilabs as a medically excellent organization and bringing potential partners and customers to collaboration by doing so.
You will also support and teach our Commercial Teams on Medical and Science related matters to deliver against customers' needs and help shape our profile as and innovative leader in the diagnostic field.
Desired competence and experience:
- Medical Doctor, preferably PhD, specialist in laboratory medicine, pathology or radiology.
- 10 years of industry experience, preferably broad medical background and interest.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills, both Swedish and English
Furthermore, a successful candidate will be able to show concrete examples of how they:
- Focuses on results without losing sight of bringing out the best in others
- Be able to engage various teams and influence a variety of stakeholders
- Mobile - travel to the different Swedish sites, customers and partners
The role is a part time permanent position based in Stockholm. We do believe that this position can be combined with clinical work, estimated to be around 50% but can vary over time depending on needs and work load. Start as soon as possible with respect to possible notice period.
