SKF Actuation System Business Unit is a part of the SKF Mechatronic platform developing and producing electro-mechanical actuators as well as complete systems. Actuation System is currently number two in the Actuator world. Our total turnover is approximately 700 MSEK and we have an aggressive plan to grow our business in selected segments. We have operating units in Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, USA and China.
Our Product Development team in Göteborg develop customized solutions and engineered products in close cooperation with customers and sales units. The applications are mostly for demanding industrial businesses such as Industrial automation, Oil & Gas and Defence. In Göteborg production site we are 60 persons including the Product Development team that consists of 8 engineers.
To strengthen the engineering team are looking for a
Mechatronics Design Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Designing various Mechatronics electro-mechanical actuator concepts and solutions
• Perform calculations needed to verify the design
• Actively participate in projects, project activities and tasks within the Mechatronics area
• Take active part in the whole Product Development process: technical feasibility, design and verification, validation and hand over.
• Support Product Development team in other activities
Requirements:
• University or equivalent education in Mechatronics Engineering or similar
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Deep practical experience in ProE and related programs
• Experience with Microsoft Office and other PC tools
• Self-motivated and result oriented
• Structured, analytical and problem solving ability
• Good communication skills including being fluent in both oral and writing in Swedish and English
• Preferably experience in Project Management, established project methods
• Preferably experience in DfSS
• Experience with system modelling tools would be a plus
