Being a Design Engineer at PrimeComp means you can expect inspiring assignments, interesting products and good colleagues. You work in projects of varying technical and commercial complexity, usually on assignments in close cooperation with our customers, either on site at customer or from our office. Your role may vary depending on customer and project, but the focus will be on product development within mechanics. This may include the development of vehicles, robots, energy systems or other complex systems. You will work on developing components or systems that will meet the required functional and environmental requirements. To develop drawing documents (in 2D or 3D) with relevant dimensions as well as to determine form and tolerance requirements depending on the production method, etc. is a big part of the job. You usually work in teams, together with other designers, project managers, buyers, production technicians, etc. An important part of the work is therefore a well-functioning communication with customers and colleagues.
You have a B.Sc./M.Sc. or equivalent experience. We see that you have a good knowledge of different production methods and its impact on component design. You can create drawing materials with relevant dimensions as well as form and position tolerances. It is a great advantage if you can handle the CAD programs ProEngineer (Creo), Catia or SolidWorks. For Electrical Engineers it a great advantage if you can handle AutoCAD Electric.
The role requires that you as a person are responsive to the needs of the business and can handle fast changes. You easily plan and manage new conditions while maintaining calm. You are stimulated by continually improving your business and thereby being an important factor in the company. You are self-employed and a problem solver who wants to find simple and smart solutions. Many contact areas also require good cooperation and informality. You have good knowledge of drawing and design techniques.
You master technical English, and are used to expressing you in both speech and writing.
