hela Sverige As Mechanical engineer, be part of development and maintenance of train onboard safety systems which include work in all BT HW sub-systems for onboard and wayside products. Knowledge about relevant industry standards and material properties including design for environment (eco-design). Most parts are sheet metal, aluminum profile and plastic parts developed for small and large production
In addition, the establishment of safety-related documentation such as installation and maintenance manuals are part of the work scope as well as developing and maintaining product manufacturing documentation.
The work will require close contact with suppliers and different interfaces of the organization.
We are looking for a creative problem solver and team worker that secures a good spirit within the design team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, Implementation and in some cases verification of Mechanical design for different systems and platforms
• Participate in process improvements and evaluation of new technologies. Concept studies including analysis of material and optimised design
• Identification of stakeholder requirements
• Documentation and Configuration Management according to BT processes and tools
• Use of CAD tool for mechanical design e.g Innventor, AutoCAD.
• Product management in PLM/PDM systems
• Good knowledge in product development from idea to production
• Good understanding of material properties, plastics, metal etc
• Use of general IT tools, like Microsoft Office tools
• Used to write technical documents, like specifications and reports
• Command of English language
• Safety Critical Development
• Mechanical interfaces towards electronic equipment
• Sheet metal design
• Preferable understanding in BT common tools set and processes
• Development of products in harsh environment.
• Using Configuration Management tool
• Presentation skills
