hela Sverige MECHANICAL ENGINEER PACKAGE DESIGN - FRONT END ENGINEERING LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU Your profile * Bachelors of Science Degree in an Engineering subject or related field * 7+ years of experience in gas turbine applications in the oil & gas industry, through at least one role in Proposals, Customer Order Engineering or Product Line Engineering * Experience in integration of rotating and static equipment in compact on- and offshore package designs and development of 3D layouts including off-skid, loose supplied scope * Shown knowledge of the gas turbine package product structure and package components like base frames, piping, acoustics, ventilation and exhaust systems as well as off-skid mechanical components * Experience with applying structural steel design standards to gas turbine package baseplates, calculating foundation and anti-vibration mount requirements and understanding of structural analysis * Experience in cost out initiatives including related Engineering, Manufacturing and Supplier costs * Knowledge and understanding of industry standards, like API, ASME, Norsok or others, and their impact on package design and layout as well as product costing Your responsibilities * Support Bid Management with reviewing and commenting on technical specifications, clarification of customer queries via mail or in technical meetings, general arrangement drawings, weight estimations, scope of supply descriptions, human factor engineering philosophy, material handling and others * From your expertise provide guidance to Demand Management for package cost configuration. You also support in developing cost estimates for proposals considering all relevant parties, such as Customer Order Engineering, Product line Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing and Procurement * Work and coordinate package design configurations across multiple platforms and engineering teams. Deliver a unified engineering solution for a project considering internal design guidelines and project requirements * Prevent non-conformances by innovation, creatively applying lessons learned and implementing cost-effective solutions to proposals * Handover of bid projects to Order Engineering and permanent improvement of handover process based on internal client feedback * Support measures that yield year-on-year Engineering cost-productivity benefits in both Proposal and Project Execution phases Your opportunities for personal growth * Participate in building a brand new department within Front End Engineering - Package Design and Layout * Possibility to establish and extend the professional network within Siemens Energy to global contacts within Engineering, Sales and Proposals, SCM and Product Lines LET'S TALK ABOUT US "Let's make tomorrow different today" is our genuine commitment at Siemens Energy to all customers and employees on the way to a sustainable future.
