hela Sverige Dellner Brakes AB is a Swedish company that develops, manufactures, markets and maintains brake solutions for industrial and marine applications. The company was founded in 1941 by Master of Science Jan Dellner.
Since then, we have been a part of the Dellner Group of companies that now has more than 700 employees and production or service offices in every part of the world. The headquarter is located in Vika outside Falun and our sales offices are located in US, China, Australia, Turkey and The Netherlands.
During the last few years Dellner Brakes has expanded strongly. Our brake systems are used for example in large ships, within the offshore industry, the mining industry, the paper industry, in oil and energy production, for cranes, winches and a number of different industrial vehicles.
Most of our customers are located in Scandinavia, the USA, Europe, Asia and in Australia. Within marine brake applications, Dellner Brakes is a world leader.
Our products are mounted in large military ships, oil tankers, freight ships, ferries, luxury yachts, luxury liners such as Queen Mary 2, sailing ships such as the Gothenburg and Ice breakers.
Your responsibilities
• Work as a mechanical engineer in customer and R&D Projects.
• Support project design according to customers' requirement specification and company policy.
• Cooperate with all sections within the Engineering department and also with e.g. Sales Engineers, Procurement and Customer Service.
• Contribute to that the product is tailored to fit its functional and production needs.
• Participate to the continuous improvement of applied technical solutions and methods.
Traveling could be necessary in accordance with specific project requirements.
The successful candidate will have the following profile
Education & Job experiences:
• University degree within the area of the responsibility.
• Two years of engineering experience.
• Good skills in Autodesk products. We use Inventor and Vault.
Personal skills:
• Good technical understanding and analytical skills.
• Team orientated with good interpersonal skills and cooperation with colleagues and other departments.
• Well organized, highly motivated for the job and with an open attitude.
• Capacity to overview customer specifications and design accordingly.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
Type of Employment:
Temporary employment January-October 2016 with extension possibility.
