Randstad is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our client's new development department focusing on handheld battery products for private customers. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new initiative aimed at developing battery-powered chainsaws, grass trimmers, blowers, and hedge trimmers tailored to the private market's needs.

CAD and design work focusing on plastics, light metals, and electric motors.
Utilize PDM systems for efficient documentation management.
Maintain regular contact with global suppliers and OEMs to ensure high-quality components and materials.
Collaborate closely with the ID team to ensure product designs meet customer and market requirements.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Relevant engineering degree in mechanics, mechatronics, or equivalent.
Several years of experience in a similar role, preferably with battery-powered products and knowledge of EMC.
Strong technical skills in CAD, primarily Catia.
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
Experience with plastics (injection molding/casting) is highly meritorious.
