We are now looking for Mechanical Architecture Engineers!
Description
The chapter of Mechanical Architecture and Mechanical Integration, which you would be a part of, is one of five chapters within the Hardware Tribe at NEVS. Our main competences are setting up the Vehicle Mechanical Architectures to fulfill all products in the company portfolio, and balancing the Integration work to fulfill the requirements on vehicle level.
Working with Mechanical Architecture, you and your colleagues will be engaged primarily in the early stages of the vehicle development, defining the total vehicle geometry base setup for the engineering organization to build their work on. You will be supporting squads (an empowered, self-organizing team, mutually accountable for delivery according to their task) working with any tasks related to the Mechanical Architecture. From time to time, you will also be a member of a squad bringing your competence to complete a team of engineers with a specific task.
NEVS still is a Startup Company, with a relatively small, but strong engineering organization. Our experience combined with the possibility to adapt to new trends, and the limited effect of current conventional vehicle products in production hindering our way of thinking about, and designing our future products, plays to our strength.

We are now looking for Mechanical Architecture Engineers, working with:
- Upper Vehicle - Occupant setup, overall vehicle top hat setup. Seating, safety and privacy systems.
- Lower vehicle - Chassis, Propulsion, Lower body and RESS system setup.
The role as Engineer within Mechanical Architecture, also involves:
- Work with engineers from your own, but also from other tribes to find and implement synergies for component re-use between production vehicles.
- Develop and validate best practices/guidelines.
- Develop and validate vehicle architecture technical input/design criteria per vehicle project.
- Perform digital and physical assessments of engineering proposals.
We are looking for someone who (preferably, but not entirely necessarily) has/is:
- University Education Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in Mechanical Architecture / Mechanical Integration / Systems Engineering
- Skilled in CAD modeling (Preferably NX & Team center.)
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.
- Is driven by optimum product solutions, and has a good ability to understand the competitive landscape.

Terms
NEVS is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
