We are now looking for a Measuring Technician.
Description
The Dimensional Management dep. is responsible for Geometry assurance from Creative design phase to approved car for delivery to customer. This include target setting, virtual simulations and guidance during development in car project. In the physical phase we are responsible for the measuring preparation, create measuring program and measure, both for analyze purpose and for running production.
The requested position is needed to handle the expected workload during the manufacturing start up and ongoing measuring needs for new projects. Shift work can be requested.
The role involves:
- Operate CNC-CMM in Press/Body shop and laboratory environment
- Manage matching activities
- Analyze and report measuring results
- Short time assignment (1w-3 month) at other NEVS location or at external customer
- Support development of processes and routines for the department
We are looking for someone who has:
- Engineering education, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in geometrical measuring technique and GD&T, 5 years
- Automotive manufacturing process knowledge
- Knowledge of tools: Team Center, DMIS, Metrologic, Polyworks is meritorious
- Fluent in English both spoken and written
- Driver license B
