Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Materials Research Engineer to join our team. This position requires an individual with a background in material science, polymer processing, material characterization and nanocomposite development. Alongside research, the successful candidate should have a deep-rooted interest in sustainability, with a dedication to applying their expertise to the development of environmentally friendly materials and processes.
As a Materials Research Engineer, you'll work closely with a client, team of experts, contributing to the conceptualization, development, and testing of new sustainable nanocomposites. We value our researchers' innovative ideas and encourage them to continuously improve our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with processing and testing of polymer nanocomposites.
Participate in research and development of novel multi-functional nanocomposites.
Perform material characterization procedures to determine their properties and suitability for various applications.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and conduct experiments, interpret results, and report findings.
Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports.
Comply with all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Graduation must have been completed by 2022/23.
Demonstrable understanding of material science, polymer processing, material characterization and polymer nanocomposites.
Highly meritorious to have prior experience working with single screw extrusion, rheological characterization, microscopy and nanocomposite development.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a knack for practical and innovative solutions.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis is a plus.

Preferably located in greater Gothenburg area.
