Now we are looking for a Material Supply Manager to manage all purchases to Axis's material hubs globally. This person will be part of the new Demand & Supply Team based in Lund, Sweden.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As Material Supply Manager you will have two major responsibilities;
Personnel management including motivating your staff, driving team efficiency, enable personnel development, planning resources and setting salary. Operational and strategic management of the function. This starts with setting and follow up budgets, as well as setting and following up goals and strategies for the function. Further you will lead and develop the team with the following tasks:
• Secure material availability at our Configuration and Logistics Centers (CLC).
• At the same time optimize our stock levels including being responsible for Inventory Turnover KPI.
• Since Axis is a rapid growing company the supply chain constantly changes. There is a constant need to adapt to the current situation and find ways of improvements.
The position is based in Lund.
The role involves traveling, approx. 30 days/year.
You will report to the Director of Demand & Supply.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a driven and organized leader with previous experience from management as well as material supply. Focus is on material planning from supplier to the right stocking point in right time. There is very little traditional purchasing negotiation in this role.
We believe that you have:
previous management experience including responsibility for personnel and you have the ability to promote a productive and good work environment.
previous supply chain experience as a manager from the IT- or other electronics industry.
experience in communicating, interacting and collaborate with different cultures and people.
experience from traveling and interacting with suppliers.
at least 5 years' experience working in a global environment.
a university degree in engineering or business.
Apart from the above you are open minded, pay attention to details and have a strong drive. You have very good English and Swedish skills and have ERP system knowledge as well as good knowledge in MS Office.
THE MATERIAL SUPPLY TEAM
Axis high delivery precision and service level is very dependent on a material supply that works flawless. The Material Supply team has an important responsibility in our global Supply Chain process. The team is today 14 persons, handling stock management worldwide. This includes raw material for final assembly as well as spare parts and some finished goods. Stock is held at six different locations so there is a lot of planning needed to manage stock availability at all sites balancing this with Inventory Management. The team also needs to handle ramp-up and ramp-down phases of new products since we constantly develop our product portfolio.
DEMAND & SUPPLY
The new Demand & Supply organization has the main responsibility to secure material availability to be able to deliver Axis products to our global customers. The component availability that Material Supply is responsible for is based on a forecast that the Demand Planning team is responsible for. Therefore the interface between these two organizations are crucial. Since it is a new organization the focus will be to integrate these two departments and improve our Sales and Operations Planning Process. All parts of the organization are based in Lund but we have several interfaces with both Suppliers and Axis Sales Organizations around the world.
