We are expanding and therefore we are looking for a Material Compliance Engineer.

Our department and purpose
You will belong to the group Corporate Standard, Export Control and Material Compliance that are a part of the Product Compliance department at Scania R&D.
Our purpose is to implement our products compliance according to applicable laws and regulations. We support the whole Scania organization regarding material compliance. This includes advocacy and monitoring of legislations on both a national and international level.
We are facing a time with challenging new requirements and new technologies within a context of circular economy and sustainability.
Your role
Legal requirements analysis and business support regarding material compliance
Analysis of data in IMDS regarding for example REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of Chemicals), RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and POP Directive (Persistent Organic Pollutants) compliance
Monitoring and advocacy of upcoming legislation like Battery Directive, End-of-Life Vehicle Directive etc.
Summarize reports and report
Active participating when developing and maintaining support systems used in the area.
Your profile
You have an engineering degree
You have technical engineering competence and relevant experience within material compliance
You are interested in legal requirements
You have experience and understanding of relevant legal requirements like Battery Directive, REACH, RoHS, WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
You like to work in a coordinating role, support and transfer knowledge to the organisation
You are a structured, analytical team player who can communicative and handle parallel tasks
You need to be fluent in English both written and spoken
Fluency in Swedish is a merit
