The Indirect Purchasing - Marketing & Sales provides specific Purchasing competence to Marketing at Volvo Car Group. Our role is to mainly serve the Stakeholder, Central Marketing department and the National Sales Companies, within Volvo Car Group with different sourcing activities, supplier- market- and spend analysis, contract management as well as governance towards our current and potential suppliers. The Marketing Purchaser secures supply and delivers cost efficiency and additional value in sourcing programs, by executing Commodity Business Plans together with the Strategic Purchaser, and by having a clear view on business demands and supplier market.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement commodity and supplier strategies for the Marketing area
* Experience and skills how to obtain best possible sourcing solution for areas such as sales, PR and Marketing
* Execute and support market-, supplier- and spend analysis to be on top of the Marketing area
* Prepare and effectuate Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Quotation (RFQ)
* Be the Volvo Cars focal point and lead commercial and contractual negotiations with local and global suppliers
* Assume global supplier responsibility for selected suppliers within the area
* Drive contract management and supplier governance together in collaboration with stakeholders
* Find saving opportunities and drive the initiatives forward
* Review purchase requisitions and place purchase orders
Required Qualifications
* University degree or equivalent professional experience in the relevant area
* Professional experience in purchasing and cooperation with stakeholders
* Professional negotiation skills, commercial and contractual track record for global services
* Solid understanding and interest in the legal aspects in agreements
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Excellent skills in MS Office suite
* Experience from the automotive industry is meritorious
