Position description:
Department Purpose:
• Tooling & Gauging Engineering is supporting SkEP to develop cutting tools, process fluids, gauging processes and machining methods processes in accordance with established product-, quality- and capacity requirements.
• Tooling & Gauging Engineering will locally implement global manufacturing concepts and will follow up projects throughout industrialisation until FSR, to make sure project objectives, set by Manufacturing Preparation, are realized.
• Tooling & Gauging Engineering is supporting SkEP in its core business to develop all plants in accordance with Business plan, Cycle plan and LRP.
Main task Gauging Engineer:
• Support the projects regarding gauging issues.
• Supports the running production regarding gauging issues.
• Develop new gauging system and instructions in industrialization projects.
• Evaluate and Optimize current gauging system accordingly to prioritizing from local production.
• Evaluate and gather knowledge for new Gauging concept and be input to local production regarding new technology.
• Possess and develop specialist competence within the gauging area.
Responsibility Gauging Engineer:
• Deliver gauging engineering work accordingly to project declaration handed over from Manufacturing Preparation.
• Participate in making RFQ's against selected suppliers and work out technical contract documents.
• Review new process documentation and implement working methods for production (gauging instructions)
• Give feedback from project back to Tooling&Verification in Manufacturing Preparation
• Evaluate and Update gauging instructions accordingly to productions prioritizing.
• Support and guidance in running production within the gauging area. Make sure that all changes in industrial solutions and processes must be according to global strategy prepared by Manufacturing Preparation.
• Develops calibration methods for measuring equipment that is not covered by standard calibration methods.
