Stora Enso Sourcing and Logistics are looking for an experienced, visible and commercially driven leader to be responsible for managing ocean container transports on behalf of Stora Enso divisions to destinations globally. You will report directly to VP Services and Sales.
Your main responsibility is to lead the Global Ocean Centre organization, meet and exceed the stakeholders' service and quality requirements, manage continuous improvement from suppliers, manage services through established performance indicators.
Key tasks
* Serve as a visible leader for the Global Ocean Centre. The position holder will set priorities and performance goals for the organization, supervise the Team Leaders and direct reports, communicate team progress within the Sales and Services Leadership team and ensure clear alignment between team actions and business interests.
* Management responsibility for approx. 6-7 persons. Attract and retain service talents. The Global Ocean Centre consists of 25 persons totally. (In Gothenburg, Tallinn and Brand).
* Perform capacity management in line with procured capacity and agreed demand from divisions.
* Measure and track the Global Ocean Centre performance in terms of service quality, efficiency and delivery reliability. Drive and enable productivity improvements.
* Provide market trends and work closely with the procurement managers in the supplier selection process.
* Develop trade area expertise within the Global Ocean Centre.
* Support safety and sustainability work within Stora Enso.
Qualifications
* Minimum 10 year relevant experience in container shipping with successful track record of customer focused operations management and business understanding.
* Engineering or Business master's degree or equivalent experience
* Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on people development.
* Solid analytical skills. Able to define and understand the most critical issues
Location Gothenburg, Sweden
The position requires travelling.
