Job Scope
High level purpose of function
As the Development Manager you are accountable for the development funnel of CAM Technologies & Project Front-End Loading Implementation. You are supporting CAM + management development roadmap through key technical project decision & timelines, standards, knowledge building and maximization of value creation in the front-end in terms of absolute CAPEX but also faster time to market.
Key responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibility and activities
· Interact with key CAM stakeholders (R&D, Process and Business development) and rest of organization (Procurement, Construction, Raw Materials) stakeholders to map and manage the CAM development funnel.
• Support CAM with integrated cost calculations (CAPEX & OPEX) and scheduling for both project implementation but also support in process validation with regards to prioritizing the various innovations present in the development funnel.
• Generate high-value changes in the front end of projects (Concept Engineering). Changes to be developed in conjunction with different CAM functions but also with other Business Units/Org (ie. Revolt, Utilities, Contractors, etc.) and help structure their implementation in Programs.
• Develop and own CAM front-end project knowledge. How much, how long, why and lessons learned and closely interact with Business Development team in setting plans and targets for the business that are realistic but aggressive.
• Drive with the help of rest of organization standardization in CAM projects. Technical specifications, RfQ package requirements, Quality requirements, PID symbols & legends, etc. and participate in GTS or FBS developments with rest of organization.
• Develop current and future Northvolt partners, i.e. integrators, key equipment vendors, JDA partners or others.
Requirements
Education or other qualifications or competences relevant in order to succeed in the job
Qualifications/education/experience
• Minimum 5 years industry experience, of which at least 2 years with hands-on project leadership experience in demanding environment (especially in the early phase of projects)
• Engineering degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or similar) or similar is required
• Fluency in English
• Experience working in multi-cultural environment is a plus
Specific Skills:
• Track record as project manager driving capital projects, covering especially the planning/designing phase but also the execution phase
• Understanding of the specific risks encountered in capital and development projects and how to manage them
• Strong coordination, communication skills and influencing skills
• Commercial and contract exposures
