The ABB Robotics production plant in Västerås is recruiting a manager for the newly created Production Engineering Automation department. In this role you report to the Manager Industrial Engineering and a member of the Management Team for the Industrial Engineering organization.

As Manager Production Engineering Automation you will lead and develop a team with approximately 12-15 employees in their daily work improving existing automation solutions and also delivering in automation projects. ABB Robotics in Västerås have a very interesting journey ahead of us with several of automation projects in the current factory and also towards the new Robotics Campus Sweden.
Your responsibilities
In this role you will get a chance to shape the future! In this role you will initially recruit with focus on automation and building up the automation competence is one of the key tasks.
You are also responsible to continuously develop the processes for and to secure long term development of methods for automation within the organization.
You will also be responsible for OHSE and to deliver adequate support to the Organization.
Reinforce and maintains a culture of health & safety in all related initiatives.
Together with your team and colleagues within Industrial Engineering secure and develop a state of the art "Required to operate" towards the Factory.
Proactively ensure a competitive financial result in line with the overall strategy for ABB Robotics.
Support in introducing WCM and developing the Robotics Production System.
Secure that necessary certification, ISO, CE compliance are in place for Automation cells areas are in place.
Delivery in Production Plant's project portfolio including project governance and project audits.
Support and cooperation with the global engineering function, R&D and other stakeholders.
Support in develop future capabilities and resource balancing to visualize needs and act on gaps related to the Factory's current and future state.
Support in securing the Production Plant's digitalization, IS and IT in cooperation with the IS/IT-function.
Support in maintaining and developing the Production Plant's capacity and theoretical productivity.

Your background
To be successful in this position we are looking forward to recruit a driven, motivated and solution oriented leader that can balance care with high pace and multiple tasks.
Team focus is essential since you will work in close cooperation with multiple functions and many people. You have the courage to prioritize and take decisions combined with the ability to challenge current processes.
You also have the curiosity to try news ideas and take on new technologies. Experience as manager within production engineering from organizations with high level of automation is strongly beneficial for this position.
Experience from the automotive business, automation industry, production management, factory maintenance, logistics, R&D and/or project management.
Knowledge and experience from production system World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
Experience from and knowledge in change management, master IS-tools and structured approach.
Good knowledge in manufacturing processes and working knowledge of systems: Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma.
Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement, Swedish is considered as an advantage.
Good communication, social and networking skills.
A strategic mindset with a good sense of urgency for daily operations.
M.Sc. Engineering within Industrial related area or equivalent.
