Your Challenges
Do you want to be a part of our global procurement organization and participate in shaping the future of operational procurement within NKT? Do you have strong operational experience, and a track record of leading, developing and optimizing processes? Then you could be our new Buying unit Lead at NKT.
In Operational Procurement we are responsible for ensuring that day-to-day Procurement activities are delivered across the NKT group, and ultimately for delivering end-user service delivery. We are a key to the success of NKT bringing procurement excellence into all the work we do. Operational Procurement is divided into two teams; Solutions and Applications. The Solutions unit consists of 14 people divided between our offices in Cologne and Karlskrona respectively. We are now searching for a skilled manager to lead and further develop this unit.
In this role you will lead all operational buying activities within the Solution Business Unit with a focus on cycle-times and quality of customer service, ensuring that all purchases are conducted in line with our Policies and the relevant Category Strategies. You will even participate in defining and implementing new processes and systems.
Your main tasks will be to:
* Lead and coach your team of Operational and Transactional Buyers within the Operational Hub, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly communicated and understood
* Lead the Transactional Procurement team to ensure an efficient and effective R2P order process
* Act as the point of escalation for all Operational Buying and Transactional issues in the Business Unit
* Drive compliance and consistency through the implementation and use of defined processes and documentation
* Develop performance metrics for BU Operational and Transactional Procurement activity
* Ensure global deals are adapted to local requirements and translated into local agreements and languages (when required)
* Guide the team in their interactions with Category Teams to address end-user requests and escalate potential opportunities for above market (or regional) aggregation and leverage
Your Profile
You probably hold a commercial or technical degree at university level. If not - you have relevant and long working experience from not only procurement but leading, developing and optimizing processes. You have a strong ability to coach, motivate and develop others and have experience from successful change management. Moreover, you are a driven, persistent and result oriented person, who provides an analytical, structural mindset acting as the link between your unit and the larger organization. This position offers an international context and some travelling must be expected. Proficiency in English is required, as are strong written and spoken communication skills. Swedish, as well as German, will be to your advantage.
