hela Sverige Product Platform Hauler has a global responsibility for the complete articulated haulers including quality, cost and feature level. This includes for example specification of product targets, concept evaluation and selection, new functionality development, specification and follows up of sub system requirements to meet product targets.
The Hauler Platform is facing many new challenges and therefore we need to strengthen our department with another Manager of Hauler Platform to meet these challenges.
As Manager of Hauler Platform you manage a team of about ten Engineers and will have the responsibility to successfully direct and oversee all aspects of technical development and product specification definition for the worldwide markets of a product line of articulated hauler. Success will be measured on market share, sales revenue, product cost, cost reduction, warranty expense and margin contribution to the division. As a Manager you are part of the Management Team within Hauler Platform.
Main responsibilities:
Initiate new product opportunities to be submitted to the Product Platform Council for consideration of new product development, product line expansion, product upgrades, etc.
Periodically review the product line and its options for rationalization and consolidation. Make suggestions to the Product Platform Council for changes to improve manufacturability, inventory reduction, lead-time reduction, increased sales, etc.
Generate requests for the incorporation of new options, machine features, etc., in order to improve marketability and margins of the particular product line. Recommend VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) projects to the functional design groups in order to continually strive to reduce the cost and/or improve the margin of the models in the product line.
Generate and suggest concepts for technical advancements to the Engineering functional design groups for possible development. An example of this would be resulting patent disclosures.
Monitor progress of all projects being developed by the Project Managers under their supervision. If not on cost or schedule plan, assist in the generation of actions to meet project targets.

Excellent communication skills
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
BSc in Engineering, Product development or similar
Desirable qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of work-experience within the technical/product development area
Experience of managing staff
Knowledge and experience of Hauler product is beneficial
