Your role
We are looking for a Manager of Microwave and Transmitter Design within the department Microwave and Antenna Design. The Manager of Microwave and Transmitter Design is design responsible for the analogue high frequency parts of almost all of our microwave systems. This includes microwave functions and components like receivers, frequency generators, solid state high power amplifiers, etc. As Manager of the Microwave and Transmitter group, you will also be responsible for the development of all TWT based transmitters in both airborne and ground based radars.
As Manager of Microwave and Transmitter Design you will be part of the Management Team and report to Head of Microwave and Antenna Design. In the Management Team each member contributes with their individual experiences and skills to create an effective and dynamic environment. You are expected to work with your individual area of responsibility and as a member of the Management Team also interact and take part in the challenges of other groups.
Cooperation with other groups, departments and business units is key in order to succeed. You will effectively hold, develop and continually evolve the ways of working. You identify new key trends and continuously improve the way we implement complex systems. You inspire and motivate people and maintain the technical culture to attract top technical talent. You work together with your group to find the most effective way of achieving its goals while maintaining fun at work as a priority. You are professional and obtain the latest theories and methods but have an hands-on approach for increasing employee engagement and results.

We are looking for a person with documented ability for innovation in capabilities, technology, new efficient ways of reducing COGS and business models to keep our customers satisfied while meeting our operational targets. What you will be part of
As member of the Management Team of Microwave and Antenna Design, you will be part of one of Europe's leading development teams in the field of microwave and antennas. We are design responsible for the analogue high frequency parts of our products including antenna elements, PBAs, modules, integrated circuits etc. Microwave and Antenna Design is the hub of high frequency competence within Saab, serving all other business units with resources and knowledge. We have development teams in both Göteborg and Stockholm and collaborate with teams in other countries regularly. You will on daily basis interact and collaborate with developers of the most advanced radar and electronic warfare systems available.
