The Manager marketing Planning makes all Global Marketing plans work together! The position is part of the Global Marketing Business management team belonging to Global Marketing Operations, within Global Consumer Experience. The position will be responsible for global marketing planning and have the task to secure a solid planning process and follow up cross central and regions. The position is primary in contact with Regional Managers and works in close collaboration with them to drive and develop consistent process and content of central/regional deliverables to support the local market planning process. Main deliverable is an always updated and comprehensive marketing plan, short to long term that incorporates the main deliverables from Global Marketing but also regions and other departments like Global Retail, Customer service and Digital and IT. The position reports to the Director of Global Marketing Business management.

Main responsibilities
* Drive the yearly "Master Marketing Plan" content, process and development - collect and evaluate regional/market feedback and follow-up with relevant HQ stakeholders.
* Drive "Global Market Update" - our market update fora, content, process and development to ensure an efficient cross-functional communication channel and secure a follow-up process for regional/market questions with relevant stakeholders.
* Drive "Marketing Summit" content, process and development to, together with Regional Managers, secure alignment and feedback on yearly plans as well as regional and cross regional idea, practice and "Best Practice" sharing/market benchmark.
* Drive "Quarter by Quarter" meetings to collaborate in reaching business efficiency and alignment between Regions and Global Marketing. Main purpose is to understand the business today and key focus areas/activities. Understand how the planned activities align with the long-term plan.
* Drive content, process and development of the business plan to secure a long-term strategic and cross-functional plan aligned with global product and sales plans.
* Be responsible for creating presentations of larger scale when necessary. In this capacity, the planning manager will work closely together with concerned management team members.
* Drive alignment of the master marketing plan and the Content Delivery Plan.
* Secure that regional business needs are represented in the different Global Marketing foras.

Required qualifications
* University Master's degree in marketing, finance or similar.
* Experience from management consulting, marketing agencies or similar roles in larger companies.
* Excellent ability to structure complex challenges.
* Love to create and follow up plans and is good at it.
* Business acumen.
* Strong skills in Power Point, Excel and other relevant tools necessary to develop professional presentations.
* Cross-functional and integrated work experience, with high ability to co-operate and work in a team environment.
* Marketing experience is highly desired.

* Good cultural fit for Volvo Cars: automotive industry (engineering-driven), Nordic business culture, flat, hands-on organization
* Be able to communicate with clarity. Be an active listener and convey points in a conceiving, inspiring and decisive manner.
* Excellent presentation skills to be able to present with impact on executive level.
* Strong Analytical skills and understanding of performance management and ROI. Ability to critically analyze data to identify weaknesses and opportunities, measure successes and failures - can "tell a story" with data
* Fluent in English (spoken and especially written)
