The Industrialisation Development department is organized within Airframe and Vehicle Systems within Business Unit Gripen Design
Area Aeronautics and consists of approximately 160 employees and consultants. You will be the line manager for the Manufacturing Engineering Structure Assembly section.
The Industrialisation Development department is responsible for Industrialisation in all products within Aeronautics. Industrialisation is responsible for manufacturing engineering within Detail manufacturing/El/Mechanics/Assembly/Final Assembly/Hangar and Tool Design for Aeronautics' products (Gripen CD/EF and T-7). Industrialisation is also responsible for providing manufacturing engineering competence regarding modifications of Saab 340/2000 (Assembly/Final Assembly/Hangar).
The Manufacturing Engineering Structure Assembly are involved in all areas of Aeronautics.
The section is primarily responsible for production technique work regarding Structure Assembly.
This includes:

production technique review of design and tool input with respect to suitability for production
*
preparation of manufacture input
Today, the section consists of approximately 16 engineers with a mix in gender, age and experience.
Your role
As a section manager you will manage and allocate assignments, evolve the employees and competences within the section, and ensure efficient ways of working within the area of responsibility. The work in the section is carried out both within the line organization and in projects.
You will be a part of the Industrialisation Development management team and you will be expected to participate in the development of the department as well as your own section.

An academic degree in engineering (or equivalent experience)

Good Swedish and English skills due to the fact that we have work with international cooperation
Experience of leadership is an advantage. In general, we will attach great importance to your personal characteristics.To be successful in your role you have to be good at building relations. You understand the need to communicate, initiate and handle changes. You can provide a strong personal leadership with patience, adjustability and decisiveness.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
