The department for Verification of Material and Components carries out knowledge and technology development, to secure access to the resources, competence and equipment needed for development and implementation of world class technology in our products. We drive continuous improvement within our areas of responsibility and we are moving towards a resource-efficient and Lean R&D Process. We want an organization that continually improves and uses best practices in all key areas, as well as stimulating learning and experience sharing. We are now looking for a Manager for Verification of Material and Components to join us in this journey towards our future vision.
This position is located in Sandviken.
Key performance areas
In this role, you are responsible for setting and following targets, for budget and investments within the department, and for ensuring high quality in projects and tasks. You lead a group of eight people, responsible for evaluating material and components and participating in knowledge and development projects in collaboration with product development teams. You take charge of the competence and development within your team, as well as the working process, and you work in compliance with the technology roadmap to stay ahead within your field of work. You participate in various control and decision forums and you are in charge of ensuring accessibility, high quality and future requirements of the mechanical equipment of your department.
We are looking for someone with a degree in engineering, preferably within the fields of machine or material technology, and at least five years' experience from research and development. Documented experience of leading change is an advantage in this positon. We work in an international environment, where good communication skills in both English and Swedish are required.
