The team consists of approximately 15 test engineers responsible for performing all performance evaluation and durability testing of all Transmissions, Axles and Driveline concepts in Volvo CE product range (Wheel Loaders, and Articulated Haulers).
The team is facing existing challenges: A growing demand, new technology and increasing expectations in effectiveness and quality in deliveries.
Job Summary:
• Team development. Secure and develop competences and active coaching.
• Project deliverable. Ensure that your team is working together and constantly striving to deliver with quality, effectiveness and according to time plans.
• Safety and Environmental care. You will actively work with your team on fulfilling all legal Safety requirements and beyond.
• Budget.
• Investments. You will define and execute your investment portfolio to match future requirements.
• Efficiency improvements. You will promote and support continuous improvements.
• Benchmarking and networking with other test facilities inside and outside Volvo.
• Drive daily maintenance activities to secure quality and uptime of the rigs.
• Secure good communication and relation with your direct customers and colleagues in the local as well as the global Technology organization.
Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
• Bachelor of Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of successful experience as Engineering project manager, Test engineer or Line manager.
• Previous experience in managing Test Cell operations is a desired plus.
