At the Market Pricing and Discount Management department, our mission is to enhance Sandvik Coromant's value proposition to Strategic Relations accounts by securing dedicated resources with global availability for our truly strategic customers. By improving the way we settle commercial agreements with our customers, we increase sales, profitability and customer satisfaction. To strengthen our operations, we are now looking for a proactive and supportive Manager for Commercial Strategy and Support to join us in a stimulating and challenging position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work with some of our key customers to support closing long-term deals, and grow in their role as a successful Manager.

Location
The location for this position is globally flexible, and international travel is a natural part of the job.

Key performance areas
By establishing clear commercial strategies, pricing strategies, and by increasing our own competencies on

managing commercial complexities in line with Sandvik Coromant overall strategies, we provide high-quality tactical support to our exceptional account managers. As Manager for Commercial Strategy and Support, you lead and manage a team of Commercial Strategists and Price and Discount Specialists in their mission to support our Strategic Relations Managers within sales, and the implementation of complex pricing solutions/projects for our customers. You are overall responsible for leading our commercial price-related projects from start through to the implementation of pricing and commercial strategies, setting up pricing agreements and taking lead in dealing with cross-border pricing issues. You also oversee the support of promoting pricing strategies and global ways of working in pricing from your team among Strategic Relations Managers, Global Account managers and Machine Tool Solutions managers.

Furthermore, you develop and implement efficient internal working processes for management of commercial terms and conditions with our strategic and global accounts, involving and training the team members and key stakeholders. You develop necessary competencies among your team members and give regular feedback on performance. Finally, we see you as a role model for your team as you actively driving continuous improvements.

In this position, you report to the Price and Discount Manager, Sales, and have a dotted line to the Head of Strategic Relations.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Degree in Engineering or Business Administration, who has experience from managing customer and internal requests along with business issues within a complex and global matrix organization. You are proven successful in pricing negotiations with large companies in the manufacturing industry and have a proven track record from leading others in a managerial position. Experience from Account Management or Sales Management in the manufacturing industry is also highly advantageous. As we operate in an international setting, you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
