Who we are:
Global Commercial Packaging is a department within Logistics Services with responsibility for managing cost efficient and harmonized commercial packaging solutions that drive brand image, sales and customer satisfaction for all Volvo Group brands. We are a global department represented in all the geographical regions.
We are establishing a complete new way of working within our department and setting a new organization. As one step in this change, we are now establishing a new role and therefore recruiting a manager, Commercial Packaging Best Practices.
Our team is responsible for:
Our team is responsible for commercial packaging engineering for all the Volvo Group's new spare parts, performed during product development phases. We work in close collaboration with the group's different purchasing departments to support purchasing in supplier negotiations. Our goal is to constantly optimize the commercial packaging solutions and the set up for existing spare parts to improve customer satisfaction and cost efficiency. We are managing and improving commercial packaging quality and also developing and improving packaging solutions.
The team also works with business intelligence analysis regarding trends and development within the industry.
Your main responsibilities are:
• Driving projects and activities to develop the process "Secure Commercial Packaging Solution", driving new and improved ways of working, defining and implementing best practices.
• Defining and improving the way to manage and improve commercial packaging quality throughout the supply chain, from suppliers to dealers and end customers globally.
• Coordinating and securing the departments activities and deliverables in the Volvo Group global and brand wide product development projects
• Performing business intelligence analysis and keeping external contacts within the packaging area to expand Logistics Services know-how about packaging techniques, packaging materials and other development in the industry
• Contributing with Commercial Packaging expertise to the rest of Logistics Services
• Actively participating in and contributing to the Commercial Packaging management team
• Representing Commercial Packaging in relevant stakeholders committees/forums

Qualifications:
As a person, we see that you are a driven and good communicator, both written and verbally since the role gives you the opportunity to work with many different interfaces. You will daily face new challenges and with your passion for results and the ability to work independently you will enjoy the role as a manager for Commercial Packaging.
• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Logistics
• Experience from working with packaging operations, design or development
• Experience from driving projects or development activities and implementing change
• Successful experience from working in a global environment
• Knowledge of the supply chain management area
• Good knowledge of lean principles, continuous improvements and problem solving techniques
