Seize this opportunity to take on a challenge to work at STRI, an independent accredited high voltage laboratory with customers from all around the world. STRI is a part of the Power Grids division's HVDC business unit.

The Power Grids division is the world's leading supplier of power and automation products, systems and service solutions for the entire value chain from power generation to the transmission and distribution of electricity. The offer spans transformers, HV products, systems for power transmission and solutions and automation for integration and interconnecting power grids - to enable a stronger, smarter and greener grid.

HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within ABB's Power Grids division located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.

The laboratory has about 20 employees and you will be part of a dedicated and skilled team, where you, as a Maintenance Specialist, are responsible for leading and performing maintenance on our test and auxiliary equipment in our high voltage laboratory. The duties will also include participation in the assembly and testing of test objects in the test rooms.

You will be part of a team of four people, where the tasks are varied and conducted partly independently, partly in collaboration with the colleagues in the laboratory.

To succeed in this role, you have a minimum of high school education with a focus on electricity or electronics, as well as a few years of work experience. It is a merit if you have general or specific competence in electrical installation, as well as experience in troubleshooting and repair of control systems in electrical installations.

We strongly emphasize that you as a person are responsible, and can plan and implement the tasks individually, but are also flexible and easy to collaborate with others. Fluency in both Swedish and English are a requirement.

The place of work will be in Ludvika, Sweden.
