Maintenance Manager for Scania IT

Production Control IT within Scania IT is responsible for delivering Java and Oracle Forms products to secure daily business operation and accelerate business development for Scania Production Control within the Order to Delivery (O2D) process. We are looking for a Maintenance Manager interested in agile working methods to lead the team.

Production Control IT is a team that is highly skilled and committed, with considerable job satisfaction and good opportunities for personal development. We are constantly striving to improve both systems and work processes, the team consists of Maintenance Manager, Developers, Business Analyst and Testers that are responsible for complete deliveries to our customers and users. The team is involved in the entire system development process, from concept development to implementation and maintenance. We are aiming for self-supporting teams with focus on quality assurance. We have an agile way of working and our main focus is a big development project and the maintenance of Java and Oracle Forms applications owned by Scania Production Control that is used by many departments within Scania globally.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will have contacts within Scania's business and with suppliers, purchasing and also within Scania IT.

Your role
In your role as Maintenance Manger you will be responsible for ensuring that all activities under your management are implemented with quality according to the requirements of the business and Scania's IT needs. Within your management role you ensure that system changes are planned and communicated, incidents are handled within the agreed timeframe and that action is taken to prevent future recurrence. You will also monitor the effectiveness of systems within your area and how well they are functioning in accordance with customer agreements. In addition to maintenance management, you will also be involved in projects within the area to ensure a seamless transition to maintenance when the project is closing.

Your profile
We are looking for candidates who have:
• The willingness to take on the role of Scrum Master
• Self-motivation and an ability to lead others
• The commitment and motivation to work with others to deliver, simplify and improve
• A sound ability to create good customer and supplier contacts
• Experience within application management
• Experience of leadership roles in projects and/or in a departmental context
• Knowledge of the lifecycle of an application
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Swedish
• Experience of leading and running meetings
• A university education within IT or equivalent experience
We expect applicants to be organised, driven, to have excellent problem-solving skills and a strong service-minded approach. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business. You are a team player, but are also capable of working independently. Lastly, you need to be proficient in written and spoken Swedish and English.
