As Maintenance and Technical Manager you will have a great strategic importance as responsible for the next step in creating a reliable maintenance process that fully utilizes the assets.
The position is responsible for the driving Maintenance and Technical development at all three plants in the segment Recycling and Waste, Riihimäki - Finland, Nyborg - Denmark and Kumla - Sweden, and the position is located at either of these sites.

Role overview
Your target is to develop and implement a world class maintenance process the fully utilize the assets. You will be leading cross country teams involving the maintenance and technical management as well as local management at the three sites. A productive and knowledge sharing collaboration is you aim. You have a functional responsibility but no formal subordinates.
You are accountable for developing plans for maintenance processes and asset management on a group level as well as ensuring the implementation on country level. Alignment of the sites in regards of maintenance and technical documentation process is in the scope of your responsibility, with an understanding of the unique qualities of each plant.
To ensure a world class delivery within your area you continuously benchmark the processes both internally and externally. You monitor the development and are well informed on new technologies. Disturbances are investigated in a structured and well planned manner using effective tools. You seek and analyze relevant data to which you provide insightful ideas on improvements.
You will be responsible for the overall portfolio management regarding investments and the maintenance part of asset management and will work closely with Asset Management and procurement functions.
As your presence, will be acquired at all three sites you can expect travels approximately 100 days per year.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate must be able to build upon previous experiences to take Fortum Waste Solutions to the next level. This means that you have proven skills as maintenance and/or technical manager or similar. You have experience from process industry, preferably involving chemical engineering.
Formally you hold a university degree as mechanical engineer. You are also fluent in English, both written and spoken.
You must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues and therefor it is important that you are a good communicator that balances a challenging approach with a good understanding of each situation.
You are skilled in leading and motivating others and your personality combined with a great know-how helps you achieve and go beyond your set targets.
