We are also leading the trend to further automate contract analysis processes by researching, testing and evaluating advanced Machine Learning (ML) technology and methods. Early in 2016 we released the next generation of the Seal Platform which included state-of-the-art ML algorithms (among others Deep Learning). As this is an integral part of the core Architecture, we are looking to further expand and enhance this key competence and skill within the existing ML team in Gothenburg. To do this we want to recruit and hire one ML Scientist with the appropriate NLP and ML experience and knowledge.
The role of the ML Scientist will consist of the following elements:
• Work together with the existing ML team to performing research, testing and evaluation of potential existing and emerging NLP and ML products and technologies that could be effectively applied to contract document types
• Be knowledgeable in and be able to apply NLP technology and methods to maintain and extend the current contract policy packs
• Be knowledgeable in and able to apply ML algorithms and technologies to NLP tasks such as Named Entity Recognition, POS tagging, Parsing, Sentiment Analysis, etc.
• Develop an understanding of the technologies, methods and architecture used within Seal's product development. Also an understanding of the entire software development end-to-end process as well as the product code and release management process will be essential
• Assist within the development of language agnostic contract clause recognition, including Cyrillic (Russian) and double byte languages such as Japanese, Korean and Chinese
• Has the relevant academic background & qualification within a related NLP/ML context of study
• Has the proven skills and experience to perform NLP/ML research, testing and evaluation
• Has 5-10 years related projects' experience applying NLP/ML technology & methods to contracts or similar document types to contracts
• Has an IT technology background and applied experience with ideally, software designer and development skills and experience
• Is "hands-on" and takes the initiative
• Knowledge and experience with Neural Networks and Deep Learning would be a plus
• Knowledge of and applied experience with the GATE technology and methods would be a plus
• PhD in Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Linguistics
