Sandvik Coromant is the world's leading supplier of tools and know-how to the metalworking industry. At the forefront of global manufacturing, we pride ourselves on pushing boundaries and testing limits. We rethink, redesign and redefine to figure out what is possible to achieve. Together with our customers, we shape the future!

The M&A team at Sandvik Coromant is responsible for driving the inorganic growth agenda for the division. As this is a central part of our future growth ambitions, we're now looking to strengthen the team with a self-aware and ambitious M&A Associate.
Let's talk about the job
To assure a healthy pipeline supporting our in-organic growth targets, you back us in exploring and defining M&A Themes and in prospecting attractive acquisition targets. You identify, analyze and profile potential acquisition targets, support transaction projects with financial analysis and modelling, company valuation and preparation of decision material, and you occasionally lead a significant portion of due diligence. You take an active role in screening activities by e.g. assessing attractiveness of markets, industry segments and potential acquisition targets, and are a member of the deal team, working with M&A Managers and Directors in building business cases and preparing decision material for Executive Management and the Board. You're also an important player in continuously developing best practices and ways of working.

By collaborating with our business management and with functional experts, and dealing with executives, advisors and various key stakeholders, you ensure a comprehensive and speedy approach for each project. Your understanding of strategic objectives and the ability to collect information and draw conclusions, provides us with an early voice on success factors and risks that contribute to or affect our M&A agenda.
You're part of a team of M&A Analysts and Associates, M&A Managers, Integration Management Professionals and M&A Directors. You report to the VP of M&A.

The location for this position is flexible, but preferably in Västberga or Sandviken, and during normal circumstances, international travel is a natural part of the job.
What about you?
We're looking for someone with experience from working with M&A transactions, and who have at least a couple of years' experience from an advisory role in investment banking, financial transaction services or management consulting. You have accounting, financial, commercial as well as legal knowledge related to M&A, and you're used to valuate businesses using DCF and other valuation techniques. A university degree in a relevant field is expected, and of course you're skilled in the common tools of Office 365, while knowledge of Power BI is a plus. As we act on the global stage, you need excellent skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
Your analytical skills, structured way of working and communicative approach are great assets in this job. You take initiative, prioritize and respond well to changing demands from multiple sources, and you have a strong desire to learn and grow in your role and inspire continuous improvements. You're also a team player who easily interact and network with people in a diverse matrix setting. In addition, you're a good communicator capable of presenting complex information in a concatenated and pedagogical way.
