The Logistic Methods Specialist undertakes Supply Chain strategies for product engine/platform and optimize supply chain related activities on ongoing projects. The supply chain strategies include the definition of the logistics requirements in terms of material flow, transport, storage and packaging. His main objectives are to define logistics requirements per component which supports a total cost sourcing approach and inventory optimization, define a standardized assortment of delivery racks / containers that enable safe and efficient transport and storage, ergonomic handling and meets operation's needs.
Implement the strategy and deploy solutions "plug and play "with external partners for VMI, consignment or logistic platform.
He/she schedules that Supply Chain deliverables activities for all projects are compliant for project start / ramp-up and meet production and logistics needs and Supply Chain decisions are supported by business cases and based on total cost.
IN YOUR ROLE YOU WILL:
• Plan and lead the implementation of supply chain strategies according to targets and KPI
• Define standard Logistics Requirement Document (LRDs) as input to the sourcing process
• Develop business cases
• Inquire concrete packaging requirements for production and define the methods with the respective area.
• Lead with the local method logistics teams, the development and deployment of containers, racks and make sure they fulfil all requirements.
• Measure logistic processes with the contribution of others functions to improve quality and reduce costs
• Involve local employees in the implementation of new strategies (communicate, train, follow).
• Bachelor/ Master degree in Engineering and/or Business studies or equivalent education
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant role
• Extensive knowledge of materials management as well as manufacturing processes and tools
• IT-Systems, CAD, Six Sigma, DFMA, 3P workshops, BOS, SMB, HSE, ergonomics knowledge
• Technical education, manufacturing engineering, value stream mapping experience
• Negotiation skills for the LRD 's with the Vendors, good understanding of the Procurement processes
• Sound understanding of manufacturing engineering and all interfacing functions in a project
• Very good experience to communicate on different levels
• English and Swedish business fluent are mandatory for this role
• Willingness to travel up to 20% per year mainly in Sweden
