OHB Sweden is now starting several new projects and are involved in some of the most advanced state-of-the-art missions in the areas of space debris removal, weather forecasting and asteroid exploration.
As a Logistics Coordinator you will be part of the Production Department, who's primary focus in 2020 will be the build, test and launch of three spacecraft. As can be expected when building complex systems, the need for logistical coordination is key to keeping the launch deadline.
The main tasks will be to assist in the cleanroom with various tasks from preparing hardware, storage of hardware, consumables & tooling, stock management, handling of logs for incoming and outgoing items, instrument and calibration, assistance in lab and workshop activities and overall day-to-day coordination of the various lab facilities.
Position Requirements:
• 3-5 years minimum experience in lab/workshop, planning and logistics
• Fluent in Swedish and proficient English
• Advantageous: Experience in procurement of consumables, calibrations, hardware databases, shipping/receiving, processes, planning
All of our projects involve a very broad range of expertise, covering for example design, mechanical analysis, software, operations, radiation, EMC, electrical, thermal, testing, and integration. This requires a broad and flexible skill set for all those working at OHB Sweden.
The work is mostly executed in a typical office environment, but the hardware is handled in our own clean rooms, electrical labs, propulsion labs, and environmental labs. So being comfortable in a typical engineering office/project environment, whilst also being comfortable in a lab environment, is very important.
Team working and ability to work autonomously are key to a typical day. OHB Sweden is not a large company, and much of the expertise lies on the Engineers and Technicians to handle these tasks quickly, efficiently and work closely with your colleagues! So practical solutions and a "doer" attitude are necessary.
