Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills and we are therefore looking for a Legal Requirements Expert - Chemicals and Materials.

The Legal Requirements Expert will support the organization with the expertise in chemical and material legislation and standards in all markets where NEVS are present. The Legal Requirements Expert will evaluate products, materials and chemicals due to existing and upcoming requirements as well as assist the organization with ensuring compliance and reporting.

The Legal Requirements Expert is a part of the Engineering Department and will work tight together with Creative Design, Engineering, Purchasing and Project organizations as well as being a knowledge support for entire organization. The service will work together with experts at Material Lab and product experts within environmental and health as well as experts within the entire field of sustainability. The service will represent Nevs in committees and forums and work tight with external experts and suppliers.

The service will be a part and a knowledge resource for the development of Nevs products and processes and propose guidelines and standards.

Among other the Legal Requirements Expert - Materials and Chemicals will:

• Monitor legislation, standards and requirements and support the organization to ensure that our products and business fulfills the full extent of product requirements.
• Evaluate, apply and report products, materials and chemicals regarding to REACH, chemical legislations, requirements and standards national and regional.
• Develop and suggest policies and requirements for purchasing of goods, services and develop requirements for subcontractors.
• Develop and suggest Nevs policies and guidelines for materials and substances.

We are looking for a Bachelor of Science or Engineer within nature/chemical/environmental with a good knowledge with in chemical and product legislation, REACH and evaluation of substances. You have knowledge in chemistry, toxicology and ecotoxicology and hand on experiences with working with REACH and chemical legislations. You have ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. We think you are thorough in your work and have a talent for collecting data investigate and evaluate and are adaptable in the interaction with different persons, groups and culture.
