We are looking for a Legal Counsel to be based in Stockholm for our Rail Control Solutions Division
Rail Control Solutions (RCS) is a world leader in developing, engineering and installing rail control and signalling safety systems, products and services. RCS enables the safe and efficient operation of rail networks and trains.
Your Role
You will be working in our Contracts & Legal Affairs department in the Rail Control Solutions division. Based in Stockholm you will be supporting the business in all of the division?s markets around the world - of course using local expertise when necessary.
In this role you will be a key player in the business rather than having a supportive role. The main focus of your role is to support the bid process and projects in execution by assuming responsibility for all legal aspects from the Invitation to Tender (ITT) until the end of the warranty period. Since the nature of our business often is of international infrastructural character a bid process can take anything from a month up to a couple of years.
You will be working with a broad range of tasks from assessing tenders, leading negotiations with customers and suppliers, reporting to and collaboration with the Group legal function, handling litigations, setting up consortiums or joint ventures and to some extent forming international subsidiaries.
Your Challenges
In order to succeed in this role you must feel comfortable in working in an international environment and manage many different types of cases in parallel. You will have a large number of interfaces both internally and externally which places high demands on your communications and stakeholder management skills.
Your Experience and Qualifications
You have 2-3 years of experience from a similar role, either in a larger corporation with international operations and governance or from a commercial law firm. You need a solid experience of contract law. Fluency in English is required, working knowledge in Swedish and Russian is considered a strong merit.
