We are recruiting a Legal Counsel to the GTP Legal and Compliance Department to be located in Gothenburg. The Legal Counsel will provide support to the purchasing organization, in particular in the scope of Information Technology, and work in close cooperation with the various GTP functions. He/She will report to the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Legal & Compliance, Group Trucks Purchasing. The work will require travelling from time to time.

Main Activities and Responsibilities
• Provide professional legal advice including within the Information Technology area, including purchasing of software licenses, hardware, cloud services, infrastructures and operation services, support and maintenance services, IT project services and IT consultancy services. In addition to the foregoing, he/she will also support GTP Legal on other purchasing related projects.
• Draft and review contracts and participate in negotiations.
• Enhance awareness of legal and commercial risks and work proactively with legal and compliance issues.
• Prepare and update template agreements and provide relevant legal training to business colleagues within GTP.
• Cooperate with legal counsel colleagues around the world including procurement of external legal resources.
• Dispute management.

Critical Competencies
• Master of Law
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience
• An experience of supporting IT matters
• A drive to learn, develop and contribute to the success of the Volvo Group and of the legal team.
• Distinctive problem-solving abilities and a commercial interest.
• Curious, accountable and proactive with a "can do" mindset
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent knowledge in English.
• Ability to work cross jurisdictions
